Timberline Knolls Prepares for NEDAwareness Week
In honor of 2012 National Eating Disorder Awareness (NEDA) Week from February 26 to March 3, Timberline Knolls will participate in a variety of events and conferences around the country, showing our support of NEDA and honoring its important work. These include:
Sat., Feb. 25: Exhibiting at and participating in the Tampa Bay NEDA Walk
Sun., Feb. 26: Exhibiting at and participating in the Phoenix NEDA Walk
Mon., Feb. 27: TK Community Relations Specialist Kirsten Haglund addressing the student body at The College of New Jersey about body image.
Tues., Feb. 28: Co-sponsoring with NEDA the NYC screening of Someday Melissa. TK Medical Director Dr. Kim Dennis will serve as a panelist following the film along with Melissa’s mother.
Wed., Feb. 29: Co-sponsoring a Community Lecture Series with Sierra Tucson and Shawnee Mission in Overland Park, KS. Open to professionals as well as the general public.
Thurs., March 1-Fri., March 2: Exhibiting at the Southeastern Eating Disorder Conference in TN. TK Nutrition Coordinator Juliet Zuercher will present.
Fri., March 2-Sun., March 4: Exhibiting at and sponsoring the Binge Eating Disorders Conference in Philadelphia. TK’s Dr. Kim Dennis will present.
Sat., March 3: Providing TK water bottles for attendees of the Eating Disorder Network of Central Florida’s NEDA Walk.
